  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour 12 muffin cups.
  3. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
  4. In mixer bowl cream butter.
  5. Gradually beat in powdered sugar, scraping bowl as needed, until mixture is fluffy.
  6. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  7. Beat in dry ingredients and milk alternately, to blend thoroughly.
  8. Blend in corn meal.
  9. Spoon batter into prepared cups.
  10. Bake in 350-degree oven about 30 minutes until springy to the touch and pick inserted into center comes out clean; cool 5 minutes.
  11. Turn out onto rack to cool completely.
  12. Beat cream and sugar to form soft peaks.
  13. Serve muffins topped with cream and strawberries.
  14. Makes 12 medium desserts.
