Margaritaville Strawberry Margarita

"Serve these at your next fiesta! I like mine with a salt rimmed glass, however because this is a sweet margarita you might choose to rim it with sugar."

• Serves: 4

ingredients

• 2 cups crushed ice
• 1⁄2 cup strawberry puree (frozen can or fresh strawberries, pureed)
• 1 cup tequila
• 2 limes, juice of
• splash triple sec
• simple syrup, to taste (equal amounts sugar and water heated until sugar dissolves, then cooled)

directions

1. Combine in a blender, ice, strawberry puree, tequila, lime juice, Triple Sec and simple syrup. Puree until smooth. Pour into salt or sugar rimmed rocks glasses and serve.

This is exactly how I make ours. I do use agave for the sweet part. So good!

Perfect! Easy, delicious. I used fresh strawberries, triple sec, Jose Cuervo Silver, and lemon juice (can't get limes where I live). Made up simple syrup and left it to cool while I ran to the corner store to get lemons. I don't usually like sweet drinks (but I do like margaritas!), and this really hit the spot and is very tasty. Thanks for posting!

Flavor was good. I pureed fresh strawberries and doubled the amount. This made 2 drinks for us- very strong!
