From: "366 Low-Fat Brand Name Recipes in Minutes", this is a great summer drink that your guests will love.
- 16 ounces frozen strawberries, thawed
- 1 1⁄2 cups cold water
- 1⁄2 cup lime juice
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 12 ice cubes
- In a blender, combine strawberries, water, lime juice, and sugar, blending until sugar dissolves.
- Serve over 3 ice cubes in a short glass.
- Garnish with mint leaves and whole strawberries.
DH loved this, which is fairly tart as described. The rest of the family was looking for more strawberries and more sugar in proportion to the lime. The beautiful color and a frothy top will make this an attractive way to greet patio guests, and while we didn't add alcohol, we wouldn't rule that out either. Made for I Reccommend, Nov. 2008.
This is so good. I had both fresh and frozen strawberries, so I hit them both in the blender. I added Tequila to a few glasses before pouring them in, which left the rest of the batch for everyone else. Thanks!
