I found this recipe in a recipe box from a estate sale. When I made this lemonade I cut the recipe in half except I made the whole amount of the sugar syrup and used all but about a 1/2 cup. When I made the sugar syrup I used Splenda in place of the sugar.


  1. Puree strawberries.
  2. Combine sugar and water.
  3. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  4. Mix with puree and lemon juice.
  5. Serve chilled.

This was really good, in fact I didn't want to share any with the rest of the family. I made the simple syrup while I was preparing the strawberries. Next time I might use less water and then add ice to the somewhat cooled syrup. Good stuff!
