From Family Fun magazine.
- 1 (12 ounce) can low-fat evaporated milk
- 2⁄3 cup carbonated lemon-lime beverage
- 15 ounces frozen strawberries
- Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
- Serve immediately or sit in freezer for about an hour until slushy.

I froze my own strawberries and used diet sprite and fat free evaporated milk. The adults didn't think this was quite sweet enough but the kids (who usually want it sweeter!) drank it down happily. I divided this into 3 portions for us and it was the right amount for a snack. Thanks
I used Sprite Zero and fat free evaporated milk. I halved the recipe but made it two different times. The first time, I had planned to drink half of it right away and freeze the other half to see which way I liked best, but I liked it so much that I went ahead and had both servings in one sitting! When I made it the second time, I put it in the freezer for too long and had to wait for it to defrost before I could eat it. I didn't mind the tartness the first time, but I did sweeten it the second time. I guess it depends on your mood! I like the amount of calcium (25% DV) in the drink, so it's a great way to get in a fruit, calcium, and some protein. Thanks for sharing! Made for Healthy Choices ABC.
