I haven't tried these, but I made something very similar. 1 can of crescent rolls ( or 2 cans crescent roll sheets ) 1 can strawberry pie filling 2 tbl spoons of vanilla extract 1 cup powdered sugar 1/3 cup regular white sugar 2-3 teaspoons of butter; melted 1 8oz room temp cream cheese * in a large bowl mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy - set aside * in a baking pan, place half of crescent rolls ( or one sheet ) down. *pour cream cheese mixture onto the crescent rolls/sheet...smoothing it out to touch all sides. *open the can of strawberry pie filling and smooth out to touch all sides. *place other half of crescents or sheet over the top of pie filling. *melt butter and pour over the crescent rolls *sprinkle with white sugar *bake for 15 mins at 375 { it's so yummy, it never last at my house!! } **** any pie filling is good ****

Everyone loved this! Personally I would have liked more strawberries, but no one else complained. I liked the contrast between the very sweet syrup and the mildly sweet dumplings.

This was wonderful! I changed the sugar around a bit, thanks to comments in other reviews; I only used 1/3 cup of sugar overall, and took 3 tbs out of this to put in the dumplings. The rest went in the syrup, and then a little bit extra over the top before it went in the oven. Very, very yummy - thank you. :-)

Wonderful recipe! I've made this several times and wouldn't change a thing. This is a great alternative to all of those fresh strawberry desserts.

This was delicious and very easy to make. I think next time I'll reduce the amount of sugar in the syrup and add some more sugar to the dumpling dough. The strawberries in the sauce seemed really sweet and the dough not sweet enough.

This was very simple to make. I used frozen strawberries and put vanilla ice cream on top. Dumplings are very light and nearly melt in your mouth. This recipe is a keeper for sure!

My family thought this was one of the best desserts ever. I made it for Memorial Day, and I think it will become our standard fare for that day!

Wonderful! I have never had Strawberry Cobbler before. This was just wonderful. I added the cinnamon and served with IceCream. This was wonderful hot and great the following day cold, with a cup of coffee.

This was very yummy. Very sweet next time I will add some Rhubarb and less water to make it a little tart.
