Strawberry Bread

- 1 quart fresh strawberries (recommended)
- 4 eggs
- 1 1⁄4 cups oil
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar (divided)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
directions
- Slice strawberries and sprinkle with sugar, put in refrigerator.
- Combine dry ingredients and mix well.
- Remove strawberries from refrigerator and combine with eggs and oil.
- Add to flour mixture, mix well.
- Add nuts if desired.
- Bake at 350 degrees approximately 55 minutes depending on size of bread pan.
- Spray pans with Pam or wipe with your choice of oil or shortening before pouring batter into pans.

Retired. Hunter and fisherman who likes to eat what he catches. Speckled trout, redfish, snapper are favorite fish meals, usually prepared on the grill. Feral Hogs I butcher myself and cook a variety of ways, on the grill, baked, roasted, etc. Sometimes venison, dove, or whatever is in season that I was lucky enough to get to hunt. I love to bake, esp. cookies and bread. Oatmeal cookies of all types are my favorite, and wheat and sourdough breads are too. Lately I have been canning and pickling, peaches, watermelon rind pickles, dill pickles, and anything that is in abundance at the farmers market. And inexpensive
