Easy and healthy, although don't let the H word put you off, this one is good!
- 1⁄2 box soft tofu (about 6 ounces)
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 banana, cut into pieces
- 1 cup vanilla-flavored soymilk
- 1 cup ice
- Blend all ingredients together until smooth, then serve.
I haven't tried any style of tofu until today, and it is pretty good, This recipe required soy milk, instead I used a cup of apple juice and used a tablespoon of vanilla extract, it has flavor I do not taste any after taste my son enjoyed this as well he is 4 and on top of that I used extra firm tofu, and blended it for a while it was very smooth no lumps or anything!I feel like this smoothie is very adaptable to each individuals needs!
This was pretty tasty. I agree with ladypit that there is a slight tofu aftertaste but I will make again.
Not going to convert a die hard tofu hater (as there is a little tofu aftertaste in this one) but a good solid smoothie. I used rasberries instead of strawberries (just because I was out) and when I went to use my soy milk I found that it was bad! So I used skim with a little vanilla extract added in and some splenda. My 3 year old and I enjoyed this for breakfast. Thanks Mirj!
