Strawberries With Lemon-Honey Syrup

"This is nice and sweet and great when the strawberries are fresh and juicy. This would make a simple and light yet elegant dessert after a big summer BBQ.From Homemakers May 2006. Prep time includes a half an hour of resting time."

  1. Totally simple and totally lushious. I sliced the berries as I wanted to make dessert with small angelfood cakes. I strained out the zest before using. So good!

  2. Looks like I've been wasting my money on the wrong vice. Mouth watering!

  3. I love this recipe! It's everything a dessert should be, minus most of the work and calories. The lemon-honey syrup is not only excellent with strawberries, but with other fruit and berries as well (I added in a few blueberries and green grapes). And other citrus juice and zest might work in place of the lemon (we have several orange trees)? We'll certainly enjoy this delicious, versatile recipe again! Thanks for posting, BestTeenChef! 4. I needed something made with honey for a themed potluck and I had zero time to cook. This was perfect, so quick and easy and delish!

  5. We love this recipe. It is a nice way to eat berries to give them a little something special without overpowering the taste. This dish is perfect for breakfast of dessert and I never feel guilty for eating it.
