These are simple and lovely! Just enough sauce to coat the beans - it gives them a nice flavor, that's not overpowering - fine for serving alongside something spicier. Thanks for posting!

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes and drain.
  2. Run under cool water to stop cooking and pat dry.
  3. Heat wok over medium high heat.
  4. Add sherry, garlic and ginger and stir for a few seconds.
  5. Add green beans and stir for a minute.
  6. Add stock, soy sauce and sesame oil.
  7. Combine sherry and cornstarch and add to wok and stir.
  8. Reduce to simmer and cook for another 3 minutes until sauce is thickened.
  9. Stir in scallions and serve.
