A fun and easy popcorn treat. Cooking time is estimated.
- 2 cups sugar
- 2⁄3 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon white Karo
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- red food coloring (or any color you desire)
- 6 quarts popped popcorn
- Put all but popcorn into saucepan.
- Cook until it forms a slightly firm ball (temp 230).
- Pour over popcorn and stir until well coated and then pour on counter lined with wax paper and let cool.
My children and I just made this and it was great! It did not look like it was going to be smooth, but when it hit the 230 degree mark, it was perfect. This is a great recipe compared to the old fashioned popcorn balls that I used to make with butter. We will be using this one from now on. Thanks!
