Make and share this Sticky Balsamic Tomato Salad recipe from Food.com.
- 125 ml balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 4 tomatoes, sliced
- 100 g feta cheese
- 3⁄4 cup basil leaves
- salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Place vinegar and sugar in saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to boil, cook 8 - 10 minutes till thickened.
- Watch carefully though.
- Set aside to cool.
- Arrange tomato, feta and basil on serving plate.
- Drizzle with oil and dressing, season.
The reduction of the balsamic vinegar brings a rich intense flavor to this pretty salad making it a great first course. This is one of those recipes were you should use the best ingredients you can get, I used the very last of the fresh basil and tomatoes from this summer. Thanks for the post.
