really not a good imitation when the chicken is pressed. Didn't like the sauce either. Guess we are just too spoiled with the real thing.
My family loved it. I didn't care for it, but I think my taste are a lot more sophisticated. It was very easy to make.
This is great and simple to throw together. Used Mozz instead of Provolone because it is what I had on hand... Since it was shredded, I didn't really measure, just sort of overed it. Didn't measure spices either, just did it to taste. Thanks for an easily tweakable weeknight meal.
Great tasting dish. I bought some Costco breaded chicken patties that I've been trying to use up so I've tried a couple different (yet very similair) recipes on Zaar... none as good as this one. The time for pre-cooking the patties was perfect & the extra spices added great flavours. I used a home-made sauce (with spices) so I cut the recipe spices in 1/2. I also cut the serving in 1/2 & found it would feed 4 in our household. Didn't have provolone so I used mozza. Very easy & tasty meal, thanks for sharing.
Awesome and easy...love the name!
This is really good :) Thank you for posting :)
I had a package of breaded chicken breasts in the freezer and hubby loves chicken parm, so thought I would give this a try. I cooked my chicken according to the package which was 20 minutes per side. I then followed the rest of the recipe as written other then I didn't add the optional cayenne pepper. I added the pasta and topped it with the sauce, then topped that with the chicken, the rest of the sauce and the cheese. I then cooked it for an additional 5 minutes in the oven to melt the cheese. We enjoyed it.
I made this a hair more "uptown" by using Schwan's Oven Baked Breaded Chicken Breasts, cooking them per the package directions and broiling at the end as this recipe indicates. It isn't gourmet, but it is tasty, quick and easy for a wonderful weeknight supper, especially when you get home late!
I think this is a good recipe when you're pressed for time. My son enjoyed it! If you have a little extra time, I would make your own with the Italian bread crumbs & grated parm. I'm a big fan of the Olive Garden's Chicken Parm, so I'm always on the search for that recipe! Pay no attention to "pegasuslegend"... This is great! Especially since you clearly define it as "Ghetto" & "Lazy". Negative comments not necessary or warranted! Keep it up!! :O)
