How could anyone refuse to eat their veggies when they are swathed in this delicious sauce? I used the frozen peas, and how good they were! Thanks for posting!

I used frozen peas in a steam bag for this recipe and they still came out fresh tasting. The basil and orange zest in the butter gives the peas a sweet fresh taste. Will have to try this with fresh peas next time. Made for Almost Five Tag.

I went to Michigan to a large orchard and picked my own fresh peas. With that said, a very easy recipe to make and prepare. Nice, flavorful butter sauce, made recipe as written. Definately the butter sauce is the star here. Plenty of peas left over would be a great little lunch too. Served this with my Hoosier Meatloaf With Jack Daniels Sauce#317218, Tagged and made in 1-2-3 hits.

This was a perfect side last evening with baked salmon and brown rice. The orange addition was inspired and because I was putting orange zest in the peas I topped the salmon with a *very* light skiff of butter and topped that with an orange slice and added basil to that about half way through baking. This little green pea recipe made dinner last night!. :D

Super tasty and easy! The basil and orange rind add a whole new dimension to one of our favorite sides. Made as written the only thing I which is under cook the peas as our family likes them best when they are barely cooked. Will be making again and again. Thanks for the post.
