Directions

  1. Fry bacon over medium heat, in a medium sized pot about 4 minutes.
  2. Add in onion, and continue until bacon is brown, and onion is tender, about another 4 minutes.
  3. Add in clams, and beer.
  4. Cover and steam clams until they pop open, about 7 minutes.
  5. Throw away any clams that do not open.
  6. Stir together and serve.

I had some larger steamers that didn't do well in a lighter recipe last night, so I wanted something that would give them a fair amount of flavor and this did the job. Simple. Yummy. Threw a little chopped parsley on top.
