My daughter loved this steak but my son did not care for it one bit, so lucky her... more for her to eat. Very easy to prepare and cook. Sauce thickens really fast though, in fact, by the time I tried to pour it over the steak, it had solidified like taffy. Thank you for sharing.

This was a big hit with DH. We both loved the sauce. I used a sirloin steak and 3 tbsp sake instead of sake and mirin, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. This recipe is going right into my favorite beef cookbook, and it will be made regularly.

Made with fried mushrooms as well. Quick and easy! My son enjoyed this. Thanks!

This was good. i used honey instead of sugar, which gave it a nice taste, and sherry instead of sake. I also added some yellow bell pepper and garlic and ginger. The sauce was a bit thinner than the corn starch based sauces i usually use, but it was a good sauce and was really good with all the rice soaking it up. Thanks!

My DH loves steak so I had to try this recipe. I did use only one onion and doubled the sauce ingredients. A few pieces of steak I did start cooking sooner to have well done for myself. We enjoyed this very much and DH would like the steak again soon.

Fantastic recipe - sauce was so tasty: not too salty, not to sweet, just right. I will be doing this again! I didn't have any sake so I used rice winegar, and it worked ok.
