One of my favorite meals for lunch while living in Paris. Usually served with Vegetables Macedonia (diced mixed vegetables). Actually, it's better if you mince the anchovies and mash them into the hot butter and carry on from there. They'll melt right in and create a sauce with tremendous depth of flavor. That's what anchovies do! Versions of this are enjoyed all over Europe and, indeed, all over the world. Delicious!

I made this for one--a lovely rare burger, the egg, anchovy and capers with some good French bread, and the parsley to make it healthy. Great burger, Cheryl!

This was sooo good. I left out the anchovies, but the butter with the parsley and capers was absolutely great with the flavors of egg and burger. Will certainly make this again. Thank you for a wonderful new addition to my favorites. :)

Fantastic. This is just after my fancy for an easy to make and so delicious hamburger. These type of burger will sure be offered in bistros in France as a small-sized dish for lunch. The extraordinary touch is added by the roasted capers and parsley in butter. Together with the grilled patties and eggs it is so wonderful that you sure wants a second helping. If you serve it with a dry white wine and some french white bread you don't need to travel to France, you can have the mood of a french bistro right in your house. Thanks for sharing such a typical and tasty french dish.
