This receipe originally came from my mom. with a few minor adjustments. We enjoy this as it it quick & tasty
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1⁄4 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1⁄4 cup shredded zucchini
- 1⁄4 cup shredded carrot
- milk, to moisten
- Worcestershire sauce
- onion powder
- 1⁄4 cup shredded mushroom (optional)
- Mix all ingredients together and form into oblong rolls.
- Broil or barbecue until desired doneness.
There are many reasons why this recipe deserves at least 5 stars. It tastes great, this is an effortless way to get more vegetables in the diet-you won't even know they're there, and it stretches the hamburger making it economical! I wondered if the zucchini would be watery but it wasn't. All I noticed was that the burger was juicy and flavorful.
