This taste almost exactly like Starbucks! I love the fact that by making it at home you can make it fat free, sugar free or caffeine free. I opted for sugar free using splenda instead of the honey, and decided to make it even RICHER by using half 1/2 & 1/2 for the milk. It was outstanding. To give it more of the "coffeeshop" texture, after warming it in a suacepan, I took my stick blender to it to whip it frothy. You have saved me TONS of money...thank you!

This is good and creamy and I even used Rice Dream to be dairy free. I did find the honey flavour a bit strong but it may have being the actual honey I used but I think I would prefer chai with white sugar. I made mine differently as to not boil the rice milk from a previous experience of separation. I liked the subtle flavour in the way I did it. I put all in the pot but the milk and brought to a simmer. I used Lipton Yellow Label Tea bags and I find they produce a stronger tea than usual so I left it exactly two minutes. Next time I would like to use white sugar and also try with a good local honey sometime too (the one I used was a regular unorganic, not a local one) I will steep the spices in water for two minutes first and then return to a boil and add the tea bag and again steep two minutes (I suggest more time for other tea bags) Made for Comfort Cafe - Snow Queens Round 01/10.
