Star Spangled Krispies

"A patriotic treat that's simple and kid-friendly! (And adults enjoy it, too!) The serving size is an estimate, because it's been a while and I don't remember!"

  1. I made these for my youngest Dornette's birthday (she turned 12) and I now have a very grateful daughter! I used all the colors of M&M's, not just red and blue. There's are special stores (like Dylan's Candy Bar in New York) where you can get specially colored M&M's like silver and maroon and turquoise. You can make these Crispies to match your living room decor or any holiday party theme (like orange and black for Holloween, pastel for Easter, well, you get the picture).

I'm a real estate agent in the lovely city of Rochester, New York. That's not what I expected to do with my life. I got my bachelor's in psychology, my masters in literacy education, and I taught high school special education for two years. Then I discovered that helping people find the homes of their dreams was my real passion. I've been doing it for over two years now and still absolutely love my career. Other than that, I have a very spoiled Border Collie mix named Bear that I adopted from a local shelter in spring '08. He's gorgeous and fun and brings me great joy. Now if only I could find a man like that... LOL!
