SB6 's Note:
This is the only barbecue sauce my mom ever used. Very flavorful. Not a heavy sauce. Of course, in the south, we have to add a little bacon fat.
Directions:
1
Melt butter; add onions and celery; cook til soft. Add remaining ingredients. Stir well and heat to boiling.
2
For spareribs; remove excess fat from ribs, brown on both sides in hot fat.
3
When sauce is boiling, pour over ribs. Bake at 350°F for 1 3/4 to 2 hours.
Ratings & Reviews:
This sauce turned out really nice. I used it to make BBQ Meatloaf. Thanks for a great recipe. Made this for Football Pool Week 15 win.

Tell Stan that he's the MAN! Really a great sauce. Used on chicken and then the leftover sauce, I put over frozen meatballs on low heat in the crock pot! Very flavorful. The bacon grease makes it!!!! P

I made this sauce to use in BBQ'ing some skinless chicken thighs and it was wonderful. It isn't too sweet, has a bit of a tang and the perfect amount of heat for my tastes. I have never had a sauce with bacon fat added and loved that extra flavor added into the sauce. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Made for your win in Football Pool.
