Well i really put this to the test. I had a favorite duvet cover i couldn't find for the life of me. It was discovered on a chair in a lean to, full of mold and dirt and just awful. Had been there in all weathers from driving rain to horrible humidity for months. Surprised mushrooms hadn't grown on it. This stain remover is terrific. I won't say the cover is perfect now, there are still a few little spots but considering where it started i am amazed! I will post before and after pics p.s. i did not have calgon at the store but realized one of the reasons for it is that laundry detergent no longer has phosphates while dish detergent does, so used All which is pretty high in phosphates..which is what helps clean

I used this on my son's white socks and it got them mostly clean - better than anything else I have tried. I just have one caveat though - do not use this on any T-shirts that have transfer-type graphics on them as it will remove some of the finish and color. I ruined 2 shirts this way. They were not in the soak, but were washed in the same load as the socks that were and the transfers were rubbed off in areas. New shirts too, bummer.

Yeah! My DD is taking a cake decorating class and borrowed my DH's apron. The commercial pre-treatment got all but 1 stain off, and I was worried. Only soaked for about 3 hours, but when it came out of the wash the stain was gone! I threw the rest of the mix in the wash with my kitchen towels, and they all seemed to perk up too! Thanks Gail! Made for Best of 2009 tag game.

This worked great! I used it on a white rug that I bought for my bathroom and it looks really good. Will definitely use this again ~ need to try this on DH's sock. Thanks for posting this Gail! Made for 1~2~3 Hits.

I've tried this twice now, once on a pink t-shirt and once on a white mat. Both items had been through the was more than once without success in removing the stains. This formula worked! Thanks so much for posting this recipe. Made for Photo Tag.

Was imprested. It worked on my cotton top. So moved on to DH who has an unbreakable habit of going outside with just his white socks on. Nothing seems to get out the stains and dirt he gets on those darn white socks. This stain soak however did significantly improve his socks. Thanks so much for the post.
