From the chili suppers at an old country church. Sells out everytime.
- 2 1⁄2 lbs ground beef
- 1⁄4 cup onion
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 cup fine cracker crumb
- 3 quarts tomato juice
- 2 cups water
- 4 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans
- Brown the ground beef with onion, chili powder, salt& pepper to taste.
- Drain and stir in cracker crumbs.
- Add tomato juice, water and kidney beans.
- Simmer 1 hour.
