This recipe was submitted by another member, and I adopted it when she made a dramatic exit from the site. I have not tried it, but will make my own comments when I do. Her original intro: "I actually made this up, I am getting braver. It is the simplest thing in the world and very tasty, I served it with grilled chicken."

I made this last night as a side dish with a slice of ham cooked. DH and I liked it alot. The only thing that I did different was I added just about a tablespoon of olive oil with the butter and I sliced all of my veggies I didn't want shredded zucchini. And I cooked it until it reached the tenderness that we like. We definitley be making this again. Thanks for sharing.

  1. Shred cabbage.
  2. Shred onion, I used my cheese grater.
  3. Shred squash.
  4. Dice garlic.
  5. In medium pot melt butter.
  6. Add the cabbage, onion, squash and garlic.
  7. Stir often.
  8. Cook until the veggies are still a little crisp.
  9. Salt and pepper to taste.
