Squash Apple Bake

• Prep Time: 15 mins
• Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients:

Servings: 4

• 1 medium butternut squash, peeled 'n cut into 3/4-inch slices
• 2 apples, peeled, cored and cut into wedges
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup Splenda granular
• 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
• 1/4 cup butter, melted
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon ground mace, nutmeg and cloves option

Directions:

1. Arrange squash in a 12-in. x 8-in. baking pan. Top with apple wedges. Combine remaining ingredients; spoon over apples. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes or until tender.
2. Nutmeg and cloves can be substituted for mace.
3. Half the brown sugar can be subbed with Splenda.
4. Cut fruit into big chunks so as not to overbake.
5. Might could use 9" x 13" dish, peel squash well.
