A dessert square! This is another one of my adopted recipes. I have not tried this yet. Looks plain to me but if someone tries it let me know what you think.

  1. Mix together dry ingredients.
  2. Add oil and mix until blended.
  3. Mix in sesame.
  4. Spread onto a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
  5. Cut into squares while still warm.
  6. Let cool.

Okay, I decided to give this a try; I halved the recipe and made some small additions. I'm wheat-sensitive, so I used mostly buckwheat and oat flour, with a little soy thrown in. I also substituted flax seeds instead of sesame seeds, and used olive oil. Since the recipe seemed very plain for a dessert(and I'm on a low-sugar restriction), I added one tablespoon of powder stevia sweetener, one drop liquid stevia sweetener, and some pure vanilla extract. The resulting mixture baked up very nicely on an oiled pan(though I will grease the pan next time), and tasted quite good, very much like a flattish scone. I enjoyed it both plain and with some cream cheese. I'm giving this recipe three stars, because I believe if I hadn't made the alterations in flour and sweetener, it would have been a very unsatisfying product. However, the actual baking process did work quite well.
