This is the recipe that I have made for years when I wanted a quick, easy roll without having to go to the trouble of kneading etc. These are tasty too!!
I got this very same recipe out of a Southern Living Cookbook that I got from my mother when she passed away. I have made this recipe many, many time and have used it with many entrees, such as my Chilled Shrimp and Fruit Curry. It never fails to win kudos from my guests.
These were great! They were easy to make and smelled wonderful while they were cooking. I made as posted and my batter was definately runny. I made up 12 for dinner and put the rest of the batter in the fridge for another meal later this week. Thanks for posting a keeper!
Wonderful rolls! I made 6 in a large muffin pan and put the rest in the fridge for tomorrow night. They were big and fluffy with a nice crispy crust. Thanks for a quick and easy roll recipe! I thought they were awesome!
These were great rolls to have with dinner. I made 12 and then have put the rest of the dough in the refrigerator for another meal this week. Next time I make them, I would probably add a little salt for additional flavor. My batter wasn't soupy, so I don't know if I did something wrong. It was a very moist elastic, and easily spoonable, but not runny.
Yes, this is the same recipe I got from Better Homes and Gardens or Cooking Light. It is by far the best recipe. It's so easy to make! I serve it with my roast and my kids eat them like they are candy!
