  1. Pour 3 cups boiling water gradually over cornmeal in a large bowl, stirring until smooth.
  2. Add salt and butter, stirring until well blended; let stand 10 minutes.
  3. Gradually stir in milk and eggs.
  4. Stir in baking powder.
  5. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 13x9-inch baking dish.
  6. Bake at 375° for 45-50 minutes or until lightly browned.
