There is nothing quite as delicious as a pot of homemade soup. Mom used to make this recipe with homemade "Cloud Biscuits." What a treat!

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. In a soup pot, place split peas with water and start cooking for about one half hour.
  2. Then add vegetables and cook 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until split peas dissolve.
  3. Add herb salt, pepper, and butter.
  4. Serve when butter is dissolved.
  5. If desired, sprinkle nutmeg on top.
