Oooooooh emmmmmm geeeeee! This was so good! I used a little sugar in place of the honey, but otherwise made as directed! So so good! Thank you for posting -- this will be a repeater in my house! made for Veg*N Swap 37!

Wonderful!! I used an imported Bleu cheese from Spain and a Granny Smith apple. The vinaigrette was great. I really liked the toasted sunflower seeds in this (a new one for me). Thanks for sharing. Made for ZWT7-Switzerland.

This was the best spinach salad I've ever eaten! Everything about it was great. I did substitute toasted slivered almonds for the sunflower seeds. I'll definetly make again, and again! Thanks for sharing.

I really like the premise of this salad. Knowing that I'm not totally crazy for blue cheese, I probably should have used goat cheese and will next time. I thought the dressing could use about half the pepper and half the shallot. Aside from those small changes, I really enjoyed the combination of flavors and would make it again. Thanks for posting!

My DH said this was the salad for him. He could eat this everyday. We loved the saltiness of the sunflower seeds. Thanks for posting such a wonderful salad.

Delicious! I happened to have a good Blue Cheese on hand so I used it instead of the Roquefort and it turned out great. The combination of flavors and textures in this salad is wonderful. I can't wait to have it again.

I LOVED this salad. I had some blue cheese to use up so I tried your salad. OMG, this is so good. It has the right balance between sweet and sour and bite from the cheese. Great combo of flavors, I will serve this at my next dinner party. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with me.

Really yummy salad:) I reduced the olive oil, used dry roasted sunflower seeds and a tart granny smith apple. BF loved it too. Many thanks for this, I'd make it again, easily!

A nice salad! I would have liked the dressing to be a little sweeter, but that's just my preference. I also felt like the 3T of shallots were a bit overpowering of the salad. All in all, a nice meal this evening! Thanks. . .made for ZWT for Team Las Sirenas.

A great salad in every way. The dressing was so good - I subbed fleur de sel for the salt and a little white wine for the water. The Roquefort/apple combo can't be beat and we all loved the crunch of the sunflower seeds. Thanks, Susie D. :-)

According to my husband this is the best salad he has ever eaten and I would have to agree. We loved the crunch that the sunflower seeds brought to the mix and the sweetness of the apple. It really is fabulous!

Wonderful! - Loved the dressing with the tart apples (I used honey crisp), salty seeds and sharp blue cheese. Even my 13yo DS enjoyed this salad - it fed three of us as a main dish tonight, although I think I could get away with about half the dressing next time. Made for ZWT5.

My 3 yo boy ate only this all dinner long, and kept saying, "mmm, I love this!" I added one more tablespoon of honey to tame the tanginess of the vinegar (used apple cider vinegar) and add a hint more sweetness. Used honey mustard, omited shallot, omited sunflower seeds, and used 4 small apples, and feta instead of Roq. Great! Thanks.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! This salad is soooo delicious- even with toasted pecans rather than sunflower seeds (personal preference). We also used a nice danish blue rather than Roquefort- which would have been divine- but I can't complain! So divine- I can't wait to make it again! Thank you, Susie! What a fab recipe!

Simple and delicious! I have also made this using pears and other nuts like walnuts and pecans. A definite keeper.
