This is the recipe on the back of the Knorr Veggie Soup Mix...so if you forget to print the recipe, it's on the back [this is what happened to me]. Made a double batch of this for a canoe trip of 30 people. It was devoured in record time, and someone's poor store bought dip never got opened. Super easy to make. I did leave out the water chestnuts, I like them but I find more than 50% of people do not. Good flavor, and a great go to recipe! Will be made again for sure! Thanks for posting!
I love spinach dip. I found the Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix a little salty so I added another cup of light sour cream.
Very good recipe, and very simple. I omitted the water chestnut and it came out great. I originally planned to make this vegan by using vegan mayo and sour cream, but didn't have time to pick them up (girlfriend is vegan- just wanted to point out the versatility of this recipe!)
Absolutely Delicious! I made this for St. Patricks and served with green vegetables. Fresh green beans, broccoli, gr. pepper, broccoliflower, and celery. Like other posters I used Knorrs leek soup mix.
it was great i added green onions instead of onion my boss and coworkers have been begging for ever thanx
This was very good! Will be using this for every party we host!
This is one of my family's favourite appetizers; I think the recipe originally came from the back of the Knorr vegetable soup package. I always use Hellman's Light mayo but I tried it with the Leek soup mix this time; it was just as delicious as the original version! In addition to its intended use, its worth the minor investment in a potato ricer to remove the water from the spinach. Thanx Kathy!
This is even more amazing with Knorr's Cream of Leek Soup mix.
Great Dip and easy to whip up!! I omitted the water chestnuts and added 1/2 red bell pepper and green onion tops! Thank you!
My daughter gave me this recipe a few years ago. She said it used to be on the back of the Knorr vegetable soup mix box(sometimes you can get the best recipes that way!). She suggested that I place the scooped out bread pieces around the loaf and use them instead of chips for dipping. Also, you can use veggies for dipping as well. I try to scoop out the bread so it can be cut up into presentable pieces. It is one of our all-time favorites, and invariably every time I serve it, at least one person wants the recipe! Even tho your recipe says that the water chestnuts are optional, they really add to the crunch of this recipe, and is a good thing. I wouldn't leave it out! Thanks for sharing this recipe, Kathy, and now I can store it in my cookbook, and not have to call my daughter when I misplace it!
