Fabulous dip. Very easy to make. I printed the recipe for my daughter who is just learing her way around the kitchen and it was a breeze for her. Used the mini food processor to chop the water chestnuts and in the end everyone raved about the dip making my daughter beam with pride!
Made this for snacking on during Thanksgiving. It was enjoyed by one and all. THank you for posting.
Great, classic recipe! This has been a hit every time I've made it. Thanks for posting!
The third dip I chose to take to a staff meeting. I used green onions and added 1/2 pound of Applewood smoked bacon cooked and crumbled. Like the other two dips I took, the recipe was demanded as everyone loved it. It's official, I now have Rock Star Status at work!! Easy to make, packed with flavor. Di;-)
Fantastic taste! Easy! Cheap! Thank you.
My DH and I love this dip so much, we sometimes eat it as a meal! Perfect for veggies, bread, crackers...the possibilities are endless!
Just like it should be, had tons of compliments from the girls at work. I put it away so it would not be out too long and they got it out of the fridge when I turned my back11
MUST use Hellman's (Best Foods) regular, not fat free) Mayo and Daisy Sour Cream (regular) in order for the best flavor. It doesn't live up if you skimp on the good stuff. I use water chestnuts, but only use half of the can (to add texture)... the whole amount may be too much for some people's liking. Best if chilled overnight to meld all flavors together. I serve this with fresh sliced baguettes (like bruscetta) from Lee's Sandwiches. Always a hit!!!
Loved this dip! It reminds me of the spinach dip a neighbor of mine made when I was a kid, and it's very tastey. I made mine the night before and the flavors really blended well overnight. I served with carrot sticks and bagel chips, and it disappeared quite quickly. Thanks for posting!
