I've never been to Houston's - so I can't do a comparison - but even my grandson (who hates spinach) loved this dip! I used fresh spinach & garlic, low fat sour cream & monterey jack cheese and chopped a small onion - then served with "scoops" & "crispers". Thanx Elmo!

Now that is what I am talking about!!! REAL spinach dip with a true white sauce base instead of using mayonnaise...YUK. This is a great recipe, it does taste a lot like the spinach dip at Houston's. It is also easy to change this up, add pepper's or whatever cheese you like to the sauce base, it is terrific!! :))

I enjoyed this dip. I halved the recipe and used frozen spinach. I bought a can of artichoke hearts and used 5 or 6 chopped hearts. I kicked the flavor up just a little by adding some ranch dip mix to the dip. Thanks Elmo!

This is by far the best spin/art recipe I have ever made. I tweaked it by adding a poblano and jalapeno. If you bring to the super bowl with frito scoops, It will NOT be around by halftime

This recipe was really missing something for me. I had increased the garlic and used marinated artichoke hearts to increase the flavor, but it still wasn't quite what I wanted. I don't know if more Tabasco, the addition of some cayenne, more onions, or subbing a pepper jack cheese might make the difference. I know that it needed more salt for my tastes. Several people enjoyed it at a Super Bowl party, but it wasn't the top recipe that I had hoped for.

DELICIOUS!!! Probably the best spinach-artichoke dip I have made yet. It is exactly like Houston's which is my hubby's and I's favorite! I used a can of artichoke bottoms b/c the leaves are a nuisance sometimes. I used low fat sour cream and frozen spinach - worked great! Thanks again for the PERFECT dip!

Wonderful flavor, just like the restaurant's. My daughter kept saying "I can't believe I'm eating spinach!" Make sure to chop the spinach finely (as the recipe instructs). I didn't and the texture wasn't as smooth as it should have been. Thanks Elmo!
