This recipe comes from Melting Pot Potluck. It was put together to announce the arrival of a new pastor and his wife. Origin: Hungary.
- 3 (16 ounce) packages frozen spinach or 2 1⁄2 lbs fresh spinach
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon grated onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Cook spinach according to package directions. Drain well. Blend other ingredients together then fold into hot spinach. Serve at once.
Outstanding! I went with plenty of extra onion and garlic and also added some shredded Parmesan. So delicious, that I have since used this recipe (minus the spinach) as filling for twice baked potatoes and as a chip dip. Thanks for posting.
Excellent. I used light sour cream and more garlic.
This was tasty and simple! I used fresh spinach, and also substituted plain yogurt in place of the sour cream--pretty similar in flavor, but a mite healthier.
