This was very easy and tasty and a great way to use my freshly grown Thai V
Basil. Like another suggested, I doubled the sauce. I didnt have fresh jalapeno so I substituted 3 dried red peppers cut in half to get the seeds too. Unlike some other reviews, use of the dried red pepper gave this dish a definite "kick" that others complained was lacking. Will definitely make again.

I was looking for something quick to use my chicken tenders and DH wanted Thai - found this and it was fast, easy and delicious. I had to make a few changes based on what I had - used a sweet onion as that's what I have, and dried basil. Used japanese noodles stir fried with the finished dish instead of over steamed rice. It was so good and not to much heat, though I'm sure it'd have to be toned down if you've got picky kids like my DGSs, but hey - they weren't here last night.

I made a few changes to this recipe and it was the quickest, most delicious Thai dish ever. I added some red pepper flakes to give it more "heat", and tripled the "sauce" ingredients because my family prefers more when serving over rice. I will make this dish regularly!

This is ok, but not a keeper for me. I made it exactly as written, and was disappointed in the heat level, because it wasn't spicy at all. Of course, the serranos I got may not have been very hot; that happens. I wouldn't call this Thai.

We loved it...with a couple of additions. Like some of the other raters, we didn't find it spicy or flavorful enough, as written; however, before stirring in the basil and scallions, I added about 2 T. hoison sauce and 1 T. red chili sauce. That added lots of flavor, and made this dish both easy and really delicious! I served this with jasmine rice and Recipe #368901. The combo was wonderful! Thanks for the great idea!

Loved it! Served with Satay-flavored noodles.

Delicious recipe! DH does not like stuff very spicy so I omitted the peppers and just used about 1 tsp. of pepper flakes to give it a little zip. I loved how incredibly easy this was to throw together, it took no time at all. Thanks for the keeper KPD!

This was a delicious mix of spicy/sweet flavors! I only used one canned jalapeno and it was plenty hot. The brown sugar added a wonderful zestiness to the rich dark sauce. I added a bit of fresh asparagus that I sauteed with the chicken (since I had it on hand) and it went great. Thanks so much KPD for a recipe I will make again. Roxygirl

Very simple, healthy and attractive recipe. Surprisingly, we found it a bit bland, even with 2 jalapeno peppers. I avoided adding any other spice because I assumed it'd be a scorcher. We ended up reaching for red pepper. I'd probably make this again with that modification as it was a good weeknight meal.
