For Marinade
- 907.18 g shrimp, raw
- 1 olive oil, extra virgin
- 1 medium onion, grated
- 29.58 ml lemon juice
- 0.61 ml oregano
- 0.61 ml basil
- 0.61 ml clove, ground
- 2.46 ml celery seed
- 2.46 ml chili powder
- 2.46 ml salt

For BBQ Sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 clove, whole
- 354.88 ml chili sauce
- 118.29 ml tomato juice
- 2.46 ml chili powder
- 4.92 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 1.23 ml Tabasco sauce
- 1 garlic clove, smashed
- 59.14 ml dry white wine
- 14.79 ml lemon juice
directions
- A day or two before mix BBQ sauce ingredients together simmering for about an hour. When cooled place in lidded jar and refrigerate.
- Day of BBQ: mix marinade ingredients, add shrimp and let marinate for at least 2 hours. longer is better if you have the time.
- grill over med heat for 8 - 10 minutes or until done. Turn 1/2 way through cooking.
- serve with sauce.
