Spicy Salsa Sandwiches

Quick and easy lunch or light dinner. Use your favorite deli meat.

Ingredients:

Servings: 1

• 2 slices bread (jalapeno bread is great!)
• 1 -2 slice deli meat
• 1 -2 tablespoon salsa (I use mild)
• cayenne (optional)
• 1 slice fat-free cheddar cheese (or your favorite)
• margarine or butter , for frying

Directions:

1. Make the sandwich: Put the deli meat on one slice of bread, spread the salsa over it, then sprinkle with a little cayenne (if using).
2. Next put the cheese slice, then the other slice of bread, and spread with butter.
3. Fry butter side down over medium heat, spread the top side with butter.
4. Flip and fry until golden brown.
5. Yummy with chips.

This is a wonderful idea for a sandwich! I never thought to put salsa on it, but it tastes great! I used a medium salsa and 2 percent cheddar cheese. Delish!
