This is so yummy and easy! loved the smell of the house while it simmered. Next time I'll throw 2 more jalapeno in because I didn't find this spicy at all, and I'll leave out the allspice and cloves as it reminded me too much of my families recipe for chili sauce with these two ingredients in it. Still very very good, and I'll be making it again next year!

This is very nice, with well-balanced flavours. Unlike most rhubarb chutneys that I've tried, it's not too sweet. Next time I'll add more cayenne, since I found it quite mild.

This is fantastic. My husband and I have been eating it on top of boca burgers, beans and rice, and even pancakes. This will be the first year that I will use all of my rhubarb!

i made this just to use up some rhubarb i had in the freezer. wow! what a great chutney. i gave it as christmas presents and i already had one comment that it was gone and do you have more? i think i forgot to add the garlic, but it was really good. excellent with cheese & crackers, or with a curry. vanessa

What and great way to use up an abundance of rhubarb.. I hate to waste anything if at all possible.. The flavor is so different from the everyday mundane tastes. The jalapenos give it a pleasing bite for sure. I brought some out at a gathering yesterday, and it was enjoyed by all who tried it!!!! I definitely intend on making more at a later date. The recipe is so simple. Thanks DiB`s for sharing. It will go in my folder of tried and true recipes.

Great sophisticated flavor! I used more cayenne powder than called for and even 1 fresh cayenne pepper. At first I thought I'd kicked it too much, but it is quickly growing on me! (I substituted currants for the raisins but won't next time)

I made this recipe a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it is fantastic. I gave a jar to my parents last weekend and my mom used it on pork steak. She liked it so much she made her own batch yesterday. My fiance and I used it on grilled pork chops. DELICIOUS! I will be making my second batch tonight. This is a very easy recipe to follow and the spice of the 3 jalapenos is perfect.
