Excellent!!!! Just like mum used to make at the ol' english pub! I posted a pic of mine, note the bottle of malt vinegar in the pic! Ranch was good too, but the old standard is still my favorite!
Really neat easy recipe. It turned out great the only thing I did differently was to add garlic granuals and sprinkled them over the potatoes along with the chili. Great flavor dipping in the Ranch flavor dressing (and you can get Low Fat too). I wasn't cooking the potatoes right away so I put them in cold water. this removed some of the starch and kept them white. Thanks Rainberry Blues an other keeper
Wow, these were great! The flavors were incredible and it was so easy to make. I can't wait to make this one again...it's a definite keeper. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!
Great flavour! I was out of chile powder so I used Tex-Mex seasoning which has chili in it. Lining the pan with foil makes for a no mess pan which is a bonus. They were nice and tasty with the ranch dressing and went well with our wings and ribs. will be making again soon.
These were very good. Will definitely make again and cook a little longer with a little more oil next time to get a little crispier. Thanks for the recipe!
I love these and so do my kids. I have made this recipe many times since trying it for the first time. Goes great with grilled steak.
I made these for PAC Fall 2007. They are great! I used 2 russet potatoes, sprayed a cookie sheet with cooking spray (skipped the foil) and sprinkled on the spices. You don't even really need salt with the ranch dressing. I like that you can make it as spicy as you want with hot/mild chili powder and the amount isn't listed. I just sprinkled it on until it looked good. YUM! Thanks for sharing.
Great Recipe! Nice for just 1 potato 2 potato! They have a southwestern ranch dressing out now and it goes great with it. Thanks for posting!
I used season salt in lieu of the salt/pepper/chili powder combo. I enjoy this more than the deep fried, thin french fries that we are use to. Ranch dressing or malted vinegar is definitely a preference. Are you looking for more potato taste and less calories??? If so, try the malt vinegar. Thanks for the great recipe!!!
