Make a double batch of this for barbecue season! 4 servings
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons coarse salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- In a small bowl stir everything together. Rub into shrimp, chicken or pork a few minutes before grilling.
This was quite yummy. I used on rib steaks. I didn't include the sugar - I never do unless its' a dessert. We like spicey so next time I think I'll add a tsp of chipotle chili pepper, 1/2 tsp of garlic and up the amount of cayenne pepper. Would be excellent with a goat's cheese or blue cheese "butter" served with it.
Pretty good rub for chicken. I think that it really needs to marinate for a bit longer than a few minutes tho. Over all pretty good but I might add some more pepper next time and less salt. But I'm the girl who brushes salt off of her french fries and chips lol. Made for ZWT 3
