These are terrific! Different from the typical glazed pecans and so easy to make. Be careful to watch the cook time as they go from done to overdone very quickly! Just the right amount of heat, and love the chili powder/cocoa combination. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Wow, these glazed pecans will definitely be among my holiday eats this year! Loved the cocoa and they were just right on the chili powder and cayenne for us. Now all I have to do is keep my hubby from eating them all up!! Made for Everyday is a Holiday, November, 2011.

This is a great snacking recipe! Our kids enjoyed it too, so if you are looking for something fiery you should up the cayenne pepper. Easy to make. I used alu foil sprayed with cooking spray for easy clean up.

Great recipe! If you like things spicier, you might increase the chili powder and cayenne (and possibly diminish the sugar). I'll be experimenting with that variation on my next batch. To make clean-up non-existent, use parchment paper to line the baking sheet. (Parchment paper is the unsung hero of cooking glazed nuts. They come out crispy without almost ruining a baking sheet!) We ate our pecans on a salad of romaine, gorgonzola cheese, balsamic vinaigrette, and granny smith apple. Delicious!

I've made a similar recipe, with the same soaking technique, not so long ago, but without the cocoa, so I had to try out this one too. And I'm happy that I did. Love that's low in sugar and has no butter at all, so I don't have to feel quilty about it! Made it for the Christmas tray, but that doesn't mean that I shared them!

WOW, Syd, I thought these pecans were GREAT! I'm sorry I didn't make them to share for the holidays, but, I'm GLAD I didn't make them to share during the holidays (I will enjoy them all myself!) The preparation was spot on, and after 15 minutes in the oven, stirring every 5 minutes, they were done! I used aluminum foil (sprayed with Pam), for easier clean-up, but a sil-pat would work just as well. I enjoyed the flavor of the cocoa, as well as the spiciness from the cayenne and chili powder. They are most certainly a keeper, and I promise to make a few to share with my friends! Thanks for sharing with us, Syd!

I made these pecans to bring in my family. I got mixed reviews. Some that loved them and some that don't love them. They were easy to do. I omitted the cayenne pepper. For my taste, I'm not to sure about the cocoa powder in them even though I love chocolate. Thanks Syd :) Made for PRMR tag game
