I agree with the others who said this is bland. The recipe requires some tweaking to get taste. Four zucchinis seems like way too much, and I cut this to two and added some green pepper. I used an extra tsp of curry powder, and also added about 1/2 tsp salt. It helps to make the couscous with chicken broth instead of water too. I thought with these mods it turned out pretty well, but the fam rejected it.
We loved this dish! I only used 1 tsp of curry powder, but I added 2 tsp of Emeril's "Essence" I had mixed up a while back. And I accidentally bought diced tomatoes with basil and garlic. It came out fabulous.
Good... but pretty bland; not spicy enough for our tastes. I added three times the amount of curry (we are curry fanatics) and left the rest of the recipe the same. Thanks for sharing!
Loved it!!! Small amount of salt but not small on flavor. I mixed the couscous with the chicken and it was a wonderful hearty meal....will make it again. It didn't need a single thing changed to make it better! Thanks Rogue Red!
Easy and tasty. I doubled the amounts of spices other than coriander (I left that one out just because of personal prefrence) because it was a bit bland for our taste with the amounts listed but a nice blend of flavors. Thanks for a great quick dish.
Both the hsuband and I agreed it lcked taste, surprising, given the spices in the recipe. I put some hot sauce into the final product to perk it up. This smellsd fantastic cooking, and we both had high hopes that it would taste as good as it smelled. Very healthy recipe, but the taste we hoped for wasn't there for us.
Wow oh wow, this is absolutely delicious. I used 500 grams of chicken and after making the couscous added it to the mixture. Wonderful flavours and bonus of being low fat. Thanks for a great recipe.
This really bursted with flavor Rougue Red and I'm so glad I cooked it. I used a curry powder that I made myself with double the usual quantities of chili and mustard seeds, and for good measure also used quite a bit of fresh Diemen Pepper (Tasmannia lanceolata). I'm not sure about four servings though, I didn't have any problems eating half of it!
I made this as I'm doing weight watchers and was looking for an easy low point supper. This fitted the bill - a few small adjustments: I doubled the amount of chicken, as otherwise it would have beeen rather heavy on the courgettes, added 1 chicken stock cube, ommitted the sugar and added salt and pepper. Result a filling, healthy delicious dinner for 5.5 points, yes including the couscous! We both loved it...and the leftovers are ready for a quick meal tonight too. Thanks Red!
This is not only 5 stars, it's an OMG recipe! I didn't know what to fix for dinner and chose your recipe because I had all the ingredients and what a nice surprise. It is so good and the spices were just right. I cooked the couscous with chicken broth, and added a handful of golden raisins to the mixture. Oh, this is definitely a "doer again"!
