A delicious, healthy soup with a hint of (Turkish) spice, perfect for both dieters and vegetable nuts. Tips: It is best to chop the carrots and the onions and finely as possible, this way they will cook faster and give the soup a much better falavour and texture.


  1. Finely chop onions and lightly fry in the butter until brown.
  2. Finely chop carrots and place both the fried onions and chopped carrots in a pan with 400ml water.
  3. Add the lentils and cook until the carrots are soft.
  4. Add the Turkish curry powder, mixed spice, and corriander to the pan.
  5. Simmer for 40mins.
