I used wholewheat flour and didn't ice them. They were like a pan version of banana bread which is excellent if you don't have enough bananas to make a whole loaf.people found this review Helpful. I actually made these bars for my dog's 13th birthday (a good excuse for a family get-together to eat!). Although these are thin like bars, they taste like cake to me - next time I make them, I'll probably put them in a 9" square pan. A couple of people thought the bars were carrot not banana - I guess because of the spices. I didn't get around to doing the icing until the bars were cooled & they turned out great!people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful...
