Spiced Walnuts

"These scream Christmas to me. My mom used to make them every year at Christmas time. They're just DIFFERENT! :) In a good way of course! :) I'm GUESSING on the cooking time, because I don't time myself when I make them!!! Sorry!!"

  1. Darling daughter made these for Thanksgiving Day. She varied by toasting walnuts first and adding freshly grated nutmeg. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I'm terrible with anything that involves melting sugar, but this one was easy! And it was done in like 20 minutes. And the walnuts are delish, although I added less than 4 cups so I got more coating on the ones i put in the pot...yummy!

  5. This is very good and a great recipe for the holidays. I am not sure I got the soft ball stage correct, but all in all this was a very easy to prepare. I think it would be good with pecans as an alternative to walnuts. Thanks Marlene 1964! Prepare for Pick a Chef November 2004!
