These scream Christmas to me. My mom used to make them every year at Christmas time. They're just DIFFERENT! :) In a good way of course! :) I'm GUESSING on the cooking time, because I don't time myself when I make them!!! Sorry!!

Darling daughter made these for Thanksgiving Day. She varied by toasting walnuts first and adding freshly grated nutmeg. Thanks for sharing!

Directions

  1. Boil together the sugar, cinnamon, ginger and milk to a very soft ball stage.
  2. Add walnuts and vanilla.
  3. Stir until it thickens and coats the walnuts.
  4. Turn out onto waxed paper.
  5. Seperate the nuts.
