The Appletini created quite a stir when it was first introduced, but Kara Newman, author of Spice & Ice, put her twist on the apple martini with a little holiday cheer.
- agave syrup
- gingersnap cookie (finely crumbled)
- 2 ounces ginger liqueur (Domaine de Canton ask for)
- 1 ounce caramel vodka (Van Gogh Dutch ask for)
- 2 1⁄2 ounces apple cider
- 1 dash lemon juice
- Rim martini glass with agave syrup and crumbled gingersnap cookies and set aside. Add liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into martini glass.
We are in love with this one with the caramel and vanilla vodka. I could use one more now. This one has Fall/Autumn written all over it, one that makes you want to cuddle in front of a warm fire, one that makes you want slow down your pace, one that makes you want to invite your friends over for a warm dinner. This isn't a cocktail for the lightweights! THANK YOU! PRMR 2013....Grpa
