I made half the recipe seeing it served 14 and we were only 2. I must say my DH ate 4 servings worth. But in fact I think this should be recalculated. The full recipe would serve 7 not 14. making this a lot more fattening! It was sweet! For those with a sweet tooth you have to make this. I did cut back the baking time to 1 hour. Very Very good! Good Luck with the RSC contest.

The overall flavor of this loaf (I made mine into muffins) is really good. I used white self-rising flour and I believe it made a difference to the outcome of this recipe. I also felt the batter was to thin as their was too much liquid used in the ingredients but was hoping for the best when pouring it into the muffin tin. The overall outcome was a flat muffin that didn't rise much. I thought between the self-rising flour and baking soda there wouldn't be a problem...I still feel it was too liquidy. But...again, the overall taste is really good. Made for RSC #15.
