  2. Beat until thoroughly mixed, add molasses, milk, soda, salt, spices, baking powder, and enough flour to make stiff dough.
  3. Leave mixture in basin overnight.
  4. Take pieces of dough and roll out, cut with small cutter, lay on vegetable shortening greased tins and bake in moderate (350) oven from seven to ten minutes.
