My variation from brooklynbrewshop.com. I make these after my husband brews a batch of beer.

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Mix wheat, baking powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Mix in spent grain, honey, cheddar and cut in butter.
  4. Mix in buttermilk and egg.
  5. Pat or roll & cut into scones and bake 20 minutes.
